Gateway expands its stock of electro-mechanical and inductive devices from Wearnes Cambion

Gateway Electronic Components has made a major investment in the stock profile of one of its most successful franchises Wearnes Cambion Ltd. The electro-mechanical and inductive components company has been manufacturing for over 50 years and was founded in the UK in 1961. This investment will increase availability of the Cambion range, helping to reduce lead-times and allow customers greater flexibility to source smaller quantities where required.

The extended stock profile will include Cambion’s single pole sockets, connector pins, insulated shorting links, battery holders and turret terminals. These will be new stock profiles for Gateway and being suitable for a wide variety of applications will help the company to penetrate existing and new markets for these products including commercial, military, medical and aerospace.

Heather Prieto, Operations Director at Gateway Electronic Components commented, “having looked carefully at our customer demands and where manufacturing minimum order quantities and lead times extended we took steps to ensure maximum availability of the Wearnes Cambion range from free stock, allowing us to continue to offer the flexibility we know our customers rely upon”.
