Keeping up with the demands of embedded, industrial and storage applications, the EN5339 enables a 20% solution footprint reduction and a 40% lower profile compared to previous Enpirion 3 Amp products. With a footprint of just 55mm² and a profile of just 1.1mm, the EN5339 is particularly suitable for high-density embedded computer-on-modules which, in particular, require this small area and a low profile to enable under-side PCB mounting. The POL converter is suitable for equipment based on a diverse range of form factors such as Ultra COM Express, PC104, Qseven, ATCA Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMC), Compact PCI and others.

Additionally EN5339’s low ripple (6mV) and EMI eliminate the need for external noise filters, while its thermal performance and construction negate the need for heatsinks. These two factors combine to reduce component count. Enpirion PowerSoCs achieve 21,800 years MTBF, and the high-efficiency devices are industrial-graded so they do not require load de-rating at 85degC ambient temperature.
