Phihong develops 40W desktop adapter for mobile computing applications

“Slimline Ultrabook computers, a new standard from Intel that has been steadily growing in popularity and gaining market share, contain batteries that require far less power than traditional notebooks and laptops have in the past,” said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong USA.  “To complement the slimmer dimensions of modern personal computing equipment, Phihong’s new 40W adapter provides safe and energy efficient power in a small form factor.”

Thenew power supply comes equipped with standard features that include over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuit protections, as well as a no-load power draw under 0.2W.  Additionally, the PSA40W meets all of the requirements for Level V efficiency marking and features safety approvals from CE, TUV, and cUL/UL.

The PSA40W-190 is outfitted with a 2-Wire IEC320 C8 input and features universal mains AC input compatibility.  It measures 90mm x 35mm x 27mm, weighs approximately 125 grams, and comes with a 1.5 meter DC cord terminated with a 2.5mm x 5.5mm x 9.5mm center positive barrel.  To provide maximum compatibility, Phihong also offers an in-house design service that will substitute DC tips with no minimum order quantity required.
