Luso Electronics launches fast-track cable assembly service supported by design tools

Luso Electronics, a supplier of microwave assemblies, engineering components for machinery and power electronic components, has launched its fast-track coaxial cable assembly service with a new web-based order management system to speed up the process of choosing from the wide range of high-quality cabling and connectors that cover frequencies in the range 1 GHz to 40 GHz.

Most of the custom-made cable assembly solutions that Luso supplies are shipped within a week across Europe while many of its standard products available off-the-shelf are delivered within 24 hours.

The company”s new online cable assembly ordering service is intended to make it far easier and quicker for customers to find product information before placing an order, a move which the company says will help to speed up sales delivery in the process. Visitors to the Luso website can now simply select the cable type, length and style of connecters they need. Once completed, they are able to view the data specifications along with product images for visual verification. After submitting a brief contact form, Luso will then quickly process the enquiry.

“In addition to the hundreds of styles and lengths Luso stocks, we can customise and manufacture a configuration according to customer requirements and applications. Customers can also order custom length cable assemblies too,” explained Andy Trusler, Microwave Division Manager at Luso Electronics.

In November, Luso announced that it had opened a manufacturing facility in Luton to strengthen its delivery of full turn-key integrated microwave assemblies. The facility improves the company’s delivery time and offers greater flexibility to customers across Europe with specific RF and satcom design needs. RoHS compliant microwave components manufactured on site include antennae, waveguide equipment, filters, duplexers, adapters and associated electronic circuitry.
