New exhibition director

LOPEC has a new exhibition director: Barbara Ismaier. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise with exhibitions to the role.

Ismaier has worked as a project manager at ICM – Internationales Congress Centre Munich since 2005. In her eleven years at Messe München, she has organised and successfully executed a wide range of events of various kinds, from company events to annual general meetings and conferences. She has also been responsible for marketing activities and process optimisation. Prior to starting at ICM, Ismaier completed a degree in “Tourism Business Administration”.

Excited about her new position, Ismaier said: “I am more than pleased with my new responsibility as exhibition director. LOPEC is an event with promising business prospects in a young, aspiring market. I am looking forward to shape the future development of the exhibition and the conference and to experience how printed electronics will further influence all our lives.”

A look back

At this year’s event, LOPEC 2016, 148 exhibitors from 18 countries took part, an increase of more than 10 per cent over 2015. And, for the first time, Indian, Spanish, and South Korean companies were among them and joined the international pavilions from France and Japan as well as the high number of exhibitors from the UK and the USA. The exhibitors were seen by around 2,100 visitors from over 40 countries with the most strongly represented nations being the UK, the USA, Japan and, of course, Germany.

LOPEC is organised jointly by Messe München and the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association).
