WireMasters expands aerospace connector assembly capability
Aerospace and defence-approved EN3645 circular connectors now assembled in-house by WireMasters
Global connector and wiring distributor WireMasters has gained ASD certification to assemble Aero-Electric’s EN3645 series circular connectors at its Mexicali, Mexico facility. The new Class C approval establishes WireMasters as an authorised assembler, enabling rapid turnaround from stocked components.
The EN3645 series is engineered for European aerospace programmes and offers electrical and mechanical performance at the level of MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors. With options in aluminium, composite and stainless steel shells and a wide range of insert arrangements, the connectors support applications in aircraft, avionics and other airborne systems that operate under demanding conditions.
In defence programmes, EN3645 connectors are specified for mission systems that require resilience in extreme conditions, from vibration and temperature variation to exposure in harsh operational environments. The series provides armed forces with a connector standard that aligns with European specifications while matching the robustness long associated with MIL-DTL-38999 designs.
Assembly through WireMasters provides customers with shorter lead times, assured traceability and full compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards. The company maintains an extensive inventory of piece parts and EN35155-qualified contacts, giving engineers the flexibility to specify configurations while ensuring adherence to aerospace requirements.
