Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a new series of screw-terminal power aluminum capacitors designed for traction and heavy-duty applications. Devices in the Vishay BCcomponents 110 PHT-ST series offer a long useful life of 10,000 hours at +85 °C and high ripple current to 19.76 A at +85 °C in large 76 mm by 146 mm and 76 mm by 220 mm case sizes.

Wind River has introduced the latest version of Wind River Linux. Providing greater flexibility and allowing speedier development, customers can now access Wind River Linux as binary code, in addition to source code format. The new version is also updated with the current Linux kernel, toolchain, and user space based on the upcoming Yocto Project release.

Vishay Intertechnology has enhanced its QUAD HIFREQ series of high-power surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs). Designed for high-frequency RF applications in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) coils and generators, RF instrumentation, telecom base stations, lasers, and military communications systems, the improved devices feature an extended capacitance range down to 0.1 pF in the 0505 case size and 0.2 pF in the 1111 case size; tighter capacitance tolerance down to ± 0.05 pF (code "V"); and new non-magnetic copper terminations (code "C").

KEMET has introduced an expanded line of Aximax High Temperature Axial Capacitors. These new offerings are based on the same material technologies that Kemet has utilized in the surface mount X8L and X8R dielectric platforms. The new axial form factor enables these technologies to be extended into high vibration environments.

KEMET has introduced a new High Temperature Radial Molded Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor which can operate in extreme environments and high temperature up to 200 degrees Celsius. The gold-plated lead wires of these components can withstand extreme temperatures while the epoxy molded case provides environmental protection and mechanical durability.

National Instruments (NI) has launched NI InsightCM Enterprise, a new software solution that helps companies gain insight into the health of their capital equipment for machine maintenance and operations. With more than 15 years of experience in condition monitoring, NI developed NI InsightCM Enterprise as its first end-to-end software solution that addresses Big Analog Data challenges and builds on the industrial Internet of Things.

UK based ARCOL Resistors, a specialist resistor supplier, has announced the availability of its TGR200 Thermal Transfer Sheet. TGR200 is a no-shrink, 100% coverage, no mess alternative to conventional thermal pastes which can be easily trimmed to required sizes with minimal wastage.

The new SQXO-2ATHG range of very high shock survivability oscillators launched by IQD are housed in a TO-39 package and can withstand shock levels of up to 8,000g for 0.5ms, ½ sine. They are designed primarily for applications such as underground boring tools, down hole instrumentation and avionics applications including flight recorder equipment and on board computers. Frequencies are available from 32.768kHz up to 50MHz and can be specified to operate from either a 3.3V or 5V supply providing an CMOS output and a start up time of under 5ms.

KEMET has unveiled first-to-market expansions to its Polymer Hermetic Seal (PHS) capacitor portfolio. The T550 PHS DLA and T551 Polymer Hermetic Seal (PHS) Series both offer the highest voltage and deliverable energy with the lowest leakage current of any other solid tantalum capacitor.
