Exar Corporation has introduced two new operational amplifier families, the XR1008/XR2008 and XR1009/XR2009. The XR1008/XR2008 are single/dual amplifiers offering 75MHz bandwidth while consuming only 505µA supply current and the lower power XR1009/XR2009 single/dual amplifiers provide 35MHz at only 208µA supply current.

Molex Incorporated has added Kapton tape to its family of Vertical surface mount (SMT) Modular Jacks to aid with automatic vacuum pick-and-place processes on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Microsemi Corporation has unveiled new ZL30252 and ZL30253 any-to-any frequency clock multiplier and jitter attenuator integrated circuits (ICs). TDK Corporation has introduced a 700W model to the TDK-Lambda PFE-SA series of AC-DC full-brick power modules. The new R-78W from RECOM is a wired version of the successful R-78 switching regulator family and is intended for use in applications which utilize few or no printed circuit boards. For example in LED lighting solutions, a constant voltage for a fan can be generated by connecting the switching regulator in parallel with the LED driver. In prototyping and in many areas of electrical engineering, wired regulators are extremely advantageous.
