The new D1U86G series of 86 mm wide, 460 Watt front end power supplies from Murata Power Solutions has been designed to achieve a high minimum conversion efficiency of 92 percent at 50 percent full load. Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has announced the introduction of a full-bridge DC motor driver IC incorporating a standby function that realises power supply current in standby mode of 0.1µA or less. The TB67H301FTG is designed for use in industrial and consumer equipment where extending battery life or time between charging is important. Typical applications are expected to include printers, vending machines and home appliances.

Vishay Intertechnology has expanded its microBUCK family of integrated synchronous buck regulators with a new 5 A device offering high programmable switching frequencies to 4 MHz. The Vishay Siliconix SiP12108 features integrated high- and low-side power MOSFETs in the space-saving 3 mm by 3 mm QFN-16 package, providing designers with a complete high-current solution in only 180 mm².
