Murata has unveiled the MVAD040 and MVAD065 open frame, convection cooled AC-DC power supplies. Packaged in a standard 2 x 4 inch format with a low profile, 1U compatible 1.3 inch height (50.8 x 101.6 x 33.02 mm), the low power MVAD series is suitable for use in a wide range of high volume applications including medical and healthcare appliances, data storage and networking, and industrial factory automation systems.

Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has expanded its family of small form factor 2.5-inch {6.4 cm} hard disk drives (HDDs) with a new model that provides up to 500GB in a unit just 7mm in height. The HDDs is suitable for laptops, ultra-thin notebooks and other mobile and power-sensitive applications requiring integrated storage, the MQ01ACF series combines a high-speed 6Gbit/s intelligent interface with average seek times of just 12ms.

Molex Incorporated has further expanded its Stac64 product family with the introduction of the 14-circuit hybrid connection system. The 14-circuit Stac64 hybrid system comprises a 14-circuit hybrid receptacle connector and mating 14-circuit vertical and right-angle headers to meet the increasing terminal requirements for expanding in-vehicle functionality in automotive and commercial vehicles.
