Artificial intelligence startup Prospex has launched a crowdfunding campaign on SyndicateRoom today (Friday 5 October) as it prepares for the roll-out of its lead generation software, which is targeted at UK SMEs.
Prospex uses its own AI engine, LOMi, to analyse disparate data sources to gain an in-depth understanding of an SME’s sales team, what they sell, where they sell it and what their ideal client looks like. The software-as-a-solution service, which is paid for through a monthly subscription, then delivers new hyper-relevant sales leads to users every day.
The company was founded in 2015 and, following its initial development period, it underwent successful beta testing during the Spring and Summer of 2018. With modifications having been made to the AI-powered lead generation tool, Prospex is preparing for its official launch before the end of the year.
In advance of this, London-based Prospex is raising money on equity crowdfunding platform SyndicateRoom. The business is looking to raise £400,000, with more than 30% of this total already committed from a number of previous investors in the company.
The investment will be used to fund the long-term marketing of Prospex, as well as the on-going development of the product.
Salvatore Minetti, founder and CEO of Prospex, commented: “AI allows small businesses to undertake complex and normally expensive tasks in a way that until recently would only have been available to large business. What’s more, in the world of sales, it is transforming the way SMEs can identify relevant leads – in turn this can improve their efficiency and, ultimately, boost revenue.
“After a positive 12 months for Prospex and a successful beta phase, we are now ready to launch our product to market. As part of this next step, the business is excited to be raising money on SyndicateRoom, which will give investors hungry for opportunities involving innovative AI startups to be involved in our journey.”
