Components in Electronics magazine will host the rescheduled free webinar in January – details to follow – to help embedded design engineers prepare for the upcoming EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The CRA is set to transform cybersecurity requirements across the industry. From 2026, the first provisions will come into force, with full compliance mandatory by the end of 2027 — including for products already shipping. The legislation places new responsibilities on manufacturers and engineers to ensure cyber‑resilience is embedded into every stage of product development.

To guide engineers through these changes, the webinar EU CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) – First Steps for Embedded Design Engineers will be presented by David Pashley, Co‑Founder and Managing Director at Direct Insight and an expert with the IoT Security Foundation. Pashley will provide an overview of the Act, outline practical action points for embedded design engineers and managers, and answer questions in a live Q&A session.

The 1-hour event will be hosted by Catherine Hackett, Editor of Components in Electronics. Attendees will leave with an actionable plan to embed cyber‑resilience into projects cost‑effectively and in time to meet the looming deadlines.
