Prestigious accolade recognises ReUSE and ReCYCLE technology and its game-changing impact on the circular electronics economy
In2tec, the UK specialist in sustainable electronics, has won the prestigious Recycled Product of the Year award at the National Recycling Awards 2025.
The glittering ceremony, held at the London Hilton Metropole, brought together the nation’s most forward-thinking organisations in recycling and circular design. The award was collected on the night by Emma Armstrong, In2tec’s Sustainable Electronics Ambassador.
The judges recognised In2tec’s pioneering ReUSE and ReCYCLE technologies, which are said to be “redefining what is possible in sustainable electronics”. Traditionally, electronic waste has been an unavoidable cost for manufacturers – expensive to process, difficult to disassemble, and often destined for landfill or low-value recovery. In2tec’s approach challenges this outdated model entirely.
ReUSE is a series of materials, processes and design principles used to manufacture circuit boards that make them modular – so they can easily be replaced, repaired, recycled, and reused.
Meanwhile, ReCYCLE is the ultra-low energy process for unzipping circuit boards to the original bill of materials (BoM). It is a combination of proprietary processes that permanently change the chemistry of circuit board assemblies, allowing them to be easily returned to their constituent parts.
In recent months, In2tec’s technology has been widely referenced in industry discussions and sustainability reporting for its ability to unlock new value streams for manufacturers and accelerate the transition toward a circular electronics economy. By enabling components to live multiple lifetimes, the company demonstrates that high-tech performance and true circularity are entirely compatible.
Accepting the award, Emma Armstrong said: “This is an exciting moment for In2tec. ReUSE and ReCYCLE demonstrate that electronics can be designed for continual recovery and reuse, benefitting both industry and the planet. We’re proud to be at the forefront of this transformation.”
With this national accolade, In2tec continues to establish itself as a global leader in sustainable design, proving that innovation in electronics can simultaneously address environmental challenges and deliver a strong economic advantage.
