L2Tek, a manufacturers’ representative and distributor of components and sub-assemblies for professional video and high-speed communications systems, has signed an agreement with Explore Semiconductor of Taiwan to represent the company and distribute its products in the UK and Nordic region.
Explore’s integrated circuits include receivers, transmitters, repeaters, switches, bridges, splitters and controllers for video applications. Many of the devices include combinations of these functions in order to minimize component-count, cost and board space in professional video products.
The standards addressed by Explore Semiconductor’s chips include HDMI, Display Port, Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL), LVDS, ARC, and both digital and analogue audio.
L2Tek’s director Mark Scott-South said, “Explore has a very comprehensive offering for video and audio communications, control, switching and bridging between standards. There are few professional video applications in which one or more of their devices cannot help reduce the cost and size of systems.”
