At electronica, Nicomatic will show its full range of capabilities, highlighting two recent introductions:
EMM series: 1.27 mm pitch miniature connectors target defense and other high-reliability applications. Designed to meet the performance requirements of MIL 83513, EMM series connectors occupy 40 per cent less space than previous-generation connectors from the company, are 20 per cent smaller than Micro D connectors for 16-pin configurations and are around 10 percent smaller in footprint than the closest industry competitor. Innovative design features such as reversed contacts, integrated 90° back protection and interchangeable hardware, ensures that the new EMM connector series combines rugged design with enhanced electrical and environmental performance. Signal contacts are rated for up to 3A (for a 30 pin connector), and deliver a wiping length of 1.27mm with 1.27µm gold plating to ensure that signal integrity is maintained while under conditions of heavy shock and vibration.
FFC Vshield Cable is a flexible shielded solution for harsh environment applications. Thanks to innovative technology used by Nicomatic, this solution provides EMI / RFI & ESD protection for customer-specific applications where high-flexibility cable and data protection are crucial. The FFC V Shield is lightweight and durable with a flex life of 15 million cycles and a bend radius of curvature of 63.5 mm. This cable can be also adapted with other solutions from Nicomatic, such as Crimpflex, Jumpers cables and Microflex to ensure secure interconnection.
