David Pashley

The webinar EU CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) – First Steps for Embedded Design Engineers will be presented by David Pashley, Co‑Founder and Managing Director at Direct Insight and an expert with the IoT Security Foundation.

Components in Electronics magazine is hosting a free webinar at 2pm GMT on Wednesday 28th January to help embedded design engineers get ready for the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The CRA will introduce sweeping new cybersecurity obligations across the electronics industry. Initial requirements begin in 2026, with full compliance expected by the end of 2027 — even for products already on the market. Manufacturers and engineers will be required to build cyber‑resilience into every stage of product design, development and maintenance.

To help engineers navigate these changes, the webinar EU CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) – First Steps for Embedded Design Engineers will be led by David Pashley, Co‑Founder and Managing Director at Direct Insight and a specialist with the IoT Security Foundation. Pashley will break down the legislation, highlight practical steps for engineering teams, and take audience questions in a live Q&A.

The one-hour session will be hosted by Catherine Hackett, Editor of Components in Electronics. Participants will come away with a clear, actionable roadmap for integrating cyber‑resilience into their projects efficiently and ahead of the upcoming deadlines.
