RS Components (RS) has announced a number of new distribution agreements including a global franchise deal with Energy Micro, a global authorised reseller agreement with Diodes Incorporated and has extended its global authorised reseller agreement with STMicroelectronics.
Within the scope of the agreement with Energy Micro RS will stock the company’s complete range of ultra low power ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers, development kits, starter kits and tools in its warehouses across Europe, Asia and North America.
“This agreement gives engineers easier and quicker access to our products direct from RS’ regional warehouses,” said Geir Førre, CEO of Energy Micro.
RS’s decision to enter into a global authorised reseller agreement with Diodes Incorporated, a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality application specific standard products within the broad discrete, logic and analogue semiconductor markets builds on an existing partnership between the two companies.
RS holds a wide-ranging inventory of more than 1500 components from the Diodes product portfolio, including bipolar and MOSFET transistors, rectifier and Schottky diodes, zener, switching and TVS diodes, linear voltage regulators, and voltage references. In close collaboration with the manufacturer, RS will continue to add the latest Diodes lines to its global stock offer, bringing new product introductions to market quickly and efficiently to give customers fast access to a diversity of semiconductor solutions for their designs.

RS has also announced an authorised reseller agreement with STMicroelectronics, stocking over 3,500 products including analogue components, microcontrollers, MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes, and power discretes.
