Rutronik launches new sales concept Rutronik24 around the world

With its new sales organisation “Rutronik24”, German distributor, Rutronik, is now looking to address a new customer base with what it describes as average component requirements. Rutronik24 is based on the e-commerce-platform www.rutronik24.com. Small and medium-sized enterprises will now have access to the complete Rutronik portfolio as well as additional services and support.

Rutronik24 was initially launched in Germany, Austria and Switzerland at the beginning of the year but dues to significant customer interest, Rutronik has now expanded its Rutronik24 activities to a global level. Customers across the world can now use the Rutronik e-commerce platform www.rutronik24.com to access the distributor’s product portfolio and structure their procurement processes more efficiently.

The platform is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Chinese.

Tilo Rollwa, Director e-commerce at Rutronik, is responsible for the new sales organisation and the online offer. “Our previous sales concepts were not adequately suited to supplying small and medium-sized enterprises and larger companies with smaller component requirements. Thanks to our e-commerce platform, they now also no longer need to contact other suppliers and submit several orders in writing or by telephone, as they can now procure everything from Rutronik24”, said Rollwa.

In addition to the product catalogue with numerous search options, the Rutronik24 e-commerce platform is able to offer a wide range of different functions to speed up and simplify component selection and ordering. The online catalogue offers access to over one million articles. Thanks to the intelligent search functions for technical parameters, parts numbers or full text, it is easy to find the components you need quickly. The product selection is complemented with the current prices and availability in real time. Suggestions for alternative replacement articles with a list of the different parameters are available in cases of discontinued components or long delivery times.

The mass quotation tool is a special highlight. This allows Rutronik24 customers to upload their complete parts list simply. The e-commerce platform then uses the list to compile a personalised offer which can be converted into an order item by item.

On placing the order, the customer is informed of the binding delivery date and the shipping costs corresponding to the selected shipping option. The smallest possible order quantity is one packaging unit. Apart from that, customers can also order samples and request special offers. Payment is possible by credit card or on invoice. The ordered goods can be tracked in real time with a click of the mouse. Any PCNs (product change notifications) are always shown directly for the product. The Rutronik Product Consultant helps you to select the components if necessary and direct contact to our personal product specialists is also possible via Rutronik24.

In the Procurement area, the customer can view his jobs, contracts, articles and inventories including job numbers and statuses, requested and actual delivery dates and job tracking via real-time tracking.
