Anglia and STM launch IoT day

Anglia Components has announced that it is running a free STMicroelectronics Internet of Things Technology Day, including demonstrations and presentations on their latest technologies. Each attendee can request a free evaluation board based on the various connectivity technologies shown on the day.

The Anglia STMicroelectronics IoT day will take place on Tuesday 24th June 2014 at the Millennium Madejski Hotel, Reading. Technologies covered and demonstrated include Bluetooth (both Classic and Low Energy), Wi-Fi, NFC and RFID. Sub-GHz transceivers and modules will also be shown, as well as a comprehensive portfolio of MEMS accelerometers, gyroscopes, pressure sensors, magnetic sensors, and microphones. Energy harvesting technology will also be covered, and there will be substantial coverage of 8-bit and 32-bit MCU’s, including the next generation of Low Power STM32. The day will also include a short session giving an overview on the latest products from STMicroelectronics as well as roadmap information on what to expect next from ST.

Commenting, Andrew Pockson, Divisional Marketing Manager, Semiconductors, at Anglia, said “ST is embracing the RF, wearable technology and Internet of Things (IoT) markets. IoT heralds a new era that requires new sensor and connectivity technologies. This day is designed to bring delegates fully up to speed with the latest developments in these technologies, and send them home with practical ideas that they can implement in their projects the following day.”
