The European switch manufacturer, knitter-switch, has launched the DHP 600 series of dual-in-line (DIL) switches designed for use in applications where space is at a premium and where the need for reliable switching is equally important.

HARTING has expanded its RJ Industrial series with new RJ45 female connectors featuring integral transformers for operation at 10 Gbit/s. These connectors are extremely compact and enable simple integration into all established IP 65/67 interface types, from PushPull through to Han 3A.

FCI, a manufacturer of high speed IO cable assembly and connector systems, has developed cabling solutions that use the ExaMAX connector technology to deliver up to 40 Gb/s bandwidth capability. The ExaMAX IO connector design combines a new contact interface design technology that significantly decreases terminal stub and ground-mode resonances with an optimised cable termination that reduces impedance mismatch and signal loss.

Molex has introduced the SpeedStack Mezzanine Connector System, a high-density, low-profile solution that supports data rates of up to 40 Gbps per differential pair. The system is suitable for OEMs that contend with limited PCB real estate in a variety of industries including telecommunications, networking, military, medical electronics and consumer technology.

Harwin, the hi-rel connector and SMT PCB hardware manufacturer has invested more than £1m in new manufacturing equipment at its worldwide headquarters and manufacturing centre in Portsmouth, UK. The company said that it was committed to maintaining a vertically-integrated manufacturing capability, so that it can remain competitive and deliver innovative products. It also has a policy of replacing all plant within five years ensuring it has a state-of-the-art production facility.

A new range of M12 D-coded overmoulded cable assemblies has been launched by HARTING that uses 360° screened M12 Ethernet connection cable to offer reliable data transmission, particularly in industrial environments affected by electromagnetic interference.

HARTING has expanded its Han-Eco industrial connector series with a range of plastic housings including a variant designed for outdoor applications. These new housings - in glass fibre reinforced high-performance plastic - will give customers the benefits of reduced weight and improved cost/performance ratio.
