CISSOID, a developer of high-temperature semiconductor solutions, has introduced the CHT-NEPTUNE, a high-voltage power switch in TO-257 package, suitable for power converters and motor drives guaranteed for reliable operation up to +225°C. The CHT-NEPTUNE is a high-temperature, high-voltage, Silicon Carbide MOSFET specifically built for power converter applications in high-temperature and harsh environments.

Gresham Power Electronics, the naval power conversion and distribution specialist, has released the new 1RCQ10KA, 10KVA Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for Naval applications. The Gresham UPS provides a battery supported, 115V, 60Hz single phase output to ship-board loads. It is supplied with a separate battery cabinet configured to support the vessel’s specific autonomy requirements.

Murata Power Solutions has launched the PAQ series of 150 Watt isolated DC-DC converters. Packaged as an industry standard open-frame quarter brick module with through-hole mounting, the converter has a 2:1 input range of 36 – 75 VDC around a nominal 48 VDC input. The single 29.8 VDC nominal output can be trimmed from 23.83 (-20%) to 32.78 (+10%)VDC in order to accommodate an application’s specific voltage requirements.

The first device in this new platform, the iW3630, is a two-stage, Flickerless LED driver with output power up to 45W and is believed to be the first SSL LED driver with a built-in 0V to 10V dimming interface for commercial lighting ballasts.

Target applications include factory automation equipment, motor drives, digital home appliances and photovoltaic power micro-inverters.

Linear Technology Corporation announces the LT8705, a very high efficiency (up to 98%) synchronous buck-boost DC/DC controller that operates from input voltages above, below or equal to the regulated output voltage. This device has four feedback loops to regulate the input current/voltage, along with the output current/voltage.

International Rectifier is expanding its family of 600V insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) with the introduction of the IRGP4640D, IRGP4650D and IRGP4660D. The new rugged, reliable devices are optimised for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), solar, induction heating, industrial motor and welding applications.
